ARS Announces Tipping for Technicians

Rectangle 20 (1).png

Auto Rescue Solutions has launched a new tipping tool to bring an exciting new way for Technicians to earn more income. With the new tool, motorists get a text directly after the service is marked complete, offering them the option to leave a tip and rate their technician on the service provided. Moving to the new process makes things seamless for you and your customer.

"So simple to use I didn’t know I was using it."
"People don't carry cash anymore, so it helps...it's a blessing!"

Automated Texts

Once the program starts, motorists will automatically start receiving messaging after work orders are completed. If a motorist decides to leave a tip the technician will receive a follow up message with the tip they received. That money will add up and be sent out when the technician either connects their bank account or adds a mailing address for a check to be sent.

How It Works

Like mentioned above, after you complete a work order, ARS automatically sends a text message to the motorist asking how you did. When clicking the link in the message, motorists are sent to a page that gives them the ability to first leave a tip and then leave a review. If the motorist leaves a tip, you will receive an automated text message about the recent transaction.

Example Email

To receive the payment for tips given, technicians must provide their information via a "HelloSign" email like the example shown. This email should go out to technicians once onboarded onto the new tool. If you can't find it, be sure to check your spam folder in case it was sent there. Once signed up technicians will start receiving tips directly to their bank accounts at the beginning of each month. tips from etip our partner

Payments will be deposited at the beginning of every month by the processing company used to help make our tool work. Payments may take 5-7 business days to deposit into your account. Your pay statement will come from eTip as the source of the deposit for tips.

Don't Forget!

Pressuring motorists to leave a tip is still never ok. Since ARS is automatically sending the text messages there's no need to pressure anyone. Technicians who have already tested the tipping system have reported that being polite and performing a great service led more to consistent tips.

Be Friendly and Respectful

Motorists are in a situation that no one wants to be in. Showing up as a friendly figure who is there to help in a bad situation leaves a good impression. Being respectful in all situations is another scenario where a good impression could be left.

Make Motorist Feel Safe

Making it obvious that you are a roadside assistance technician is an important notion to make as motorists can feel exposed. Wearing appropriate clothing, a roadside vest, and shoes give motorists instant knowledge that you are their roadside technician..

Offer a Refreshment

Some motorists have been stranded for an extended time period while the weather is hot. Offering a water gives the impression that you care about the motorist and not just there to finish the job and leave. Small refreshments can go a long way.
